I was approached by the University of Lincoln to establish a website that could be self run to display all aspects of Lincoln School of Art and Design. Each degree course has their own space to post information about ongoing activities throughout the year. I was also asked to produce promotional posters and flyers for the Lincoln School of Art and Design degree show week which was a great success.

Saffron Tax Partners LLP

Saffron Tax Partners LLP are a London based company with offices at the Gherkin. An approach of the combination of traditional and contemporary elements were adopted in order to create an identity that ran across business stationery and website. Future projects such as Saffron’s launch party invitations are currently in progress.

First Few Weeks

I found some images of work that I completed in my first few weeks at WDL. Before being officially employed I worked at WDL as an intern for a month. In this time I was given the opportunity to work quite freely on a number of projects involving photography, hand embossing, post-it notes and generally playing with paper. Here are some images of my first few weeks.

123App

123App is an iPhone app which has been developed for estate agents. The app allows estate agents to use their company branding and contact information and can be set up for sales and/or letting properties in both single and multi-branch chains.

The website was developed to show clear and concise visuals whilst informing the user about what the app can do for them. The user can sign up to the app service on the website which is shown in three easy steps. These three easy steps was to be a focal point of the site and the slideshow continues throughout.

Along with a website, printed marketing material has been produced, initially magazine adverts but more marketing material is to develop in the future.

Yellow Book

Hindsight was a self initiated brief where I chose to document my online Facebook status updates. The exaggerated book size and use of materials and colour, reflects the transparency and self indulgence of these status updates.

WDL Promo

Upon starting at WDL I was enlisted in redeveloping the companies profile. Initially an identity was designed along with branding guidelines which carried through into the business stationery and also a redesign of the website. Branding guidelines were put into place to ensure the consistency of the company profile. WDL wanted to move further into design and not just development, with the new identity in place this would be a successful transition.

Further developments within the company were also put into place, such as the use of briefing documents. Promotional packs were also sent out to existing clients which consisted of recent design work in order to promote the new aspect of the business.

WDL are now both a design and development company, successfully competing in both sectors.

WDL Build Promotion

Promotional packs were put together in order to carry through the new direction that WDL were going in. These promotional packs were sent out to design agencies around the UK who predominantly specialised in print but also touched upon web design. Packs were sent to design agencies to encourage collaboration between themselves and WDL to produce better results for their clients by using their skills in design and WDL’s skills in development.

WDL are currently working with a few design companies, one of which is widely recognised within the design industry.

Principled Wellbeing

Principled Wellbeing is a company set up by husband and wife, Peter and Sue. They wanted an identity and website which clearly defined their ‘three principle’ teachings in a way that would be approachable to many different audiences, from businesses to single parents. The phrase ‘corporate-friendly’ was used as a basis for the development of a fully functional identity. This identity was implemented across the website and will be used in future print work.

Nevina Williams

Nevina Williams is an Essex based artist that wanted the ability to showcase her work on the web. A simple style was adopted in order for her colourful and varied artwork to be the focal point of the site. An identity mark was designed in conjunction which was also made into a stamp for her to use on her artwork at exhibitions.

Community Project

Community was a project I completed whilst at University. A positive impact had to be made upon a community of our own choosing. Users of Adobe software were my chosen community which I produced a selection of posters and flyers that displayed keyboard shortcuts for use within the programs.
